Hi, I am a Point Park student majoring in Screenwriting & Entrepreneurship. I have my car downtown, so travel is no issue. I will babysit, housesit, petsit, and or clean whatever needs to be cleaned. I am a straight A student, with multiple leadership positions on campus. I work with kids often as I am a camp counselor every summer for at risk, intellectually gifted children, I’ve been a babysitter for years, and (as I’m a former wrestler) I run wrestling clinics for elementary and middle school aged children. I've always known I wanted to work with children. I started working at a children's center in high school and continued throughout college. It’s also rewarding to support parents by giving them peace of mind knowing their children are well cared for. What experience do you have? I currently work at the Kids Klub at LA Fitness, where I care for children of all ages, including those with disabilities. I’ve also babysat for different families, taking care of children ranging from 3 months to 14 years old. These experiences have given me strong skills in supervision, engagement, and adapting to different children's needs and personalities. I’ve also helped with daily routines like feeding, changing diapers, and bedtime. What skills and training do you have? I am CPR and AED certified through the American Heart Association and have gone through background checks and additional training through my job at LA Fitness. I’m fluent in Spanish, which helps me support bilingual families and assist with homework or tutoring when needed. I’m also currently in college studying Allied Health, which has given me a solid understanding of child development, health, and safety practices.

I come from a big family growing up with 7 other siblings in the household. I'm the oldest daughter of 5 other siblings. Being the oldest daughter came with a lot of responsibilities. Growing up throughout the years I spent those periods being the surrogate parent to my younger siblings, always being on call for my mother 24/7/365. Watching over kids started when I would do little babysitting jobs for my mothers friends, while they worked or went out, and that's when I knew I was good with kids, and loved being around them. I am First Aid and CPR certified, I also took 2 Childhood Development classes in 10th and 11th grade. Life with children can be unpredictable and I know I'm able to adapt to the situations they face. My name is Lauren and my passion is nurturing children! I have years of experience teaching children through babysitting as well as working at a daycare over the summer during college. I have experience babysitting for many families with up to 4 children between the ages of newborn to 12 years old. I also worked for a tutoring company while in college, mainly tutoring middle school and high school level math but I am able to tutor and help with homework with elementary school work as well. I am a fun, caring, and patient hard worker. I have experience with preschool, first, and third grade students as a early childhood/special education major.
