Hello everyone as of right now I work as a special needs aide/ nanny to a wonderful two year old who has a rare condition. I have been with them for a year now and I simple love the job, we have a team of 6 therapists and we all work closely to help her with her physical and cognitive challenges. But as of Sept 15th will be my last day with the family because of relocation to CA, and of course I was asked to move with them but my life is here in the city, I'm currently working on my bachelors in social work and living in the Bronx. I first discovered my love for childcare in 2015, when I worked as an au pair for a 3‑year‑old boy. From 6 a.m. to 7 p.m., I was by his side, preparing his meals, getting him ready for daycare, administering his asthma treatment, helping with his math and English homework, taking him to after‑school activities three days a week, giving him his evening shower, and gently settling him into bed.
