I have several years of experience caring for children in age ranging from infancy to school age in both babysitting/nanny settings as well as a year spent as the head pre-school teacher in a daycare. I love kids and genuinely enjoy spending time with them, though I have non of my own currently. I am happy to engage in different fun and educational activities and would prefer playing games, reading, arts and crafts etc. over supervising screen time- though of course will happily do that too. For two years, I was a nanny to a 3 year old boy and a 4 month old baby who was born prematurely. My name is Holly. I am 27 and currently working as a Certified Child Life Specialist at a local children’s hospital. I have my Master of Science in Child Life from the College of Charleston. While pursuing my masters degree, I completed a 120 hour practicum at a pediatric hospital in Charleston, SC as well as just completed a 605 hour internship at a pediatric hospital in Baltimore, MD. As part of my program, I gained vast knowledge and comprehension in child development and structuring developmentally appropriate play activities. While in Charleston, I also worked as a nanny for a vacation nanny agency, nannying children between the ages of 3 months to 12 years in addition to holding many consistent babysitting gigs with local families. Prior to pursuing a masters degree, I worked as a behavioral health technician for a local outpatient behavioral health center and an inpatient child and adolescent mental health unit providing ABA therapy and leading group therapy sessions with my BS in Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh. Currently, I was a full-time nanny for a local family providing care for their 1 and 3 year old daughters over the past summer and still babysit for the family on occasions.
