I became an aunt at age 16 which is when I had my first encounter with learning to care for newborns. I've played an integral role in assisting to care for my niece and nephew from babies (changing diapers, bathing, feeding, putting them to sleep) to now (preparing meals, helping with grooming, transporting them, and most of all teaching life skills). Work afforded more opportunities to work with children, in a more educational development role which I enjoyed even more. I taught a 6 week reading class, tutored phonics online, and my most current role teaching math and reading skills in the classroom. My personality meshes so well with young people that I've always been able to quickly build rapport with children of all ages.
