Hello, I am Kimberly. I am a preschool teacher, wife, mom, and nana. I have worked in early learning my entire adult life, including owning a state-licensed childcare in my home for many years. I moved from Southern Indiana to Telford, Tennessee, in March 2023 and absolutely love it here. I love dogs, but I am highly allergic to cats. I have a reliable car and a safe driving record. I am certified in CPR/First Aid by the state of Tennessee. I have also completed several hours of professional training in early childhood education and childcare. I am a preschool teacher in Johnson City, TN, but I am off for the summer for the month of June and through July 19, 2024. I go back to work on July 22, 2024. I am looking to do summer babysitting. I have several years of experience with children from newborn through teens, including children with special needs (Down Syndrome, ADHD, and Autism Spectrum).

I am currently attending East Tennessee State University, majoring in Elementary Education. I’m originally from Greeneville, Tennessee, where my passion for working with children first began. I’ve played soccer my entire life and was part of the Greeneville High School soccer program, which taught me the value of teamwork, discipline, and leadership—skills I now use every day when working with kids. I especially enjoy being active with children, whether it’s playing games, doing sports, or simply encouraging them to stay moving and engaged. During my junior year of high school, I began working in a local elementary school. That experience helped me quickly learn how to navigate different personalities and situations, and how to meet each child where they are with patience, creativity, and care. My senior year, I began working at the local YMCA in childcare and in the after-school program, which further grew my love for this field. I am CPR certified in both adult and pediatric care, and I’ve completed training in first aid, AED use, choking response for infants and older children, and identifying signs of child abuse. These experiences taught me the importance of safety, attentiveness, and compassion when working with children of all backgrounds. I believe working with children is more than just a job—it’s a calling God has placed on my heart. I truly believe that being a steady, loving presence in a child’s life reflects the love of Christ. It’s a responsibility I don’t take lightly. Caring for others’ children is a joy and a blessing, and I strive to be a light in every environment God places me in.
