I grew up in a big family with 7 sisters. Being one of the oldest, taking care of kids has always been in my life. From babysitting for friends and my community, to managing a kid's cooking studio, I have gathered a lot of experience. I have babysat for children as young as 6 months and as old as 16. The cooking studio gave me opportunities to teach kids life skills while giving parents free time to take a break and relax. I currently am a licensed RBT working with kids with autism and have been enjoying aspects of the field but I would love to have a more personal experience and help make an impact on a family. The training I went through to gain this certification has given me the ability to identify functions of behavior and the tools to deal with them in the best individualized way for each child. I will be renewing my CPR and First Aid certification as of 4/16/26 in order to get a refresher on those skills in my repertoire. On a more personal note, I am a very organized mind that operates off of lists and schedules while maintaining a fun and enjoyable environment. I would love to help teach children life skills and emotional regulation while also taking things off of parents' plates so they can connect more with their families. I am a 58 year old Mother of five and Grandmother of six. I have worked in the field of Early Childhood Education for many years and have been working in preschool centers specifically for the past eleven years. I am passionate about high-quality care and education for children. I have many annual training hours in my field with the state of Tennessee and have completed several courses at RSCC towards my CDA. I am currently CPR/AED/FA certified. My background checks, fingerprinting, drug screening and physical are all current. I am switching over from childcare work in centers to in-home care because I desire to lower my working hours and lessen my weekly workload slightly. I love reading, spending time outdoors and also with my family.

I have done childcare for over 35years. I have been married to my husband for 25yrs. We are parents of two girls and just finalized the adoption of our girls in February 2022! I love going for walks and  taking mini trips/vacations with my husband and kids and enjoying beautiful senenery. I love playing outdoors as well as indoors with kids. I have CPR and First Aid certified and an willing to take any additional training the parents would like to see in their babysitter/caregiver.
