Hi there, my name is Carly. I am 25 years old. I am very good with infants and young children due to my mother being a labor and delivery nurse so I have been well adjusted to this age range. What made me want to be sitter was that I volunteered at a daycare once a week when I was in high school. My friends and I helped tutor young kids there then we would spend extra time in the baby room to give them attention as well. I have 9 years of experience as a nanny for different families working with kids anywhere from 2 months to 10 years old. I also worked in the infant room at a daycare during the Covid pandemic. I am CPR certified and have taken a course on early childhood development. I have worked with special needs, multiples, and infants. I am married to my high school sweetheart. I have done childcare for over 35years. I have been married to my husband for 25yrs. We are parents of two girls and just finalized the adoption of our girls in February 2022! I have been working with children for about 5–6 years. I started working at a daycare right after graduating from high school, and since then, I have developed a strong passion for working with children. I love being able to watch children learn, grow, and experience those special “aha” moments when they understand something new. Hi! I recently moved to Knoxville from the Nashville area to attend pharmacy school. I’m currently a PharmD student and serve as a class liaison for my cohort, which has strengthened my communication, organization, and leadership skills. My long-term interests are in pharmacy business and management, but I’ve always had a special interest in pediatrics and really enjoy working with children. Childcare has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. My mom has run a daycare out of our home my entire life, and I’ve worked alongside her with the daycare since I was 16. Because we lived on a farm, I especially loved getting the kids outside, exploring, playing, and sharing some of the whimsy and creativity that comes with growing up around nature. I enjoy helping kids use their imagination, stay curious, and have fun while still keeping a safe and structured environment. I’m CPR and BLS certified, and I also worked as a lifeguard in high school, which gave me additional experience with safety and staying calm in unexpected situations. I’m dependable, patient, and comfortable following each family’s routines and preferences. I’m mainly looking for occasional babysitting, date nights, evenings, weekends, or recurring care that works around my pharmacy school schedule.
