My youngest is 15 and currently doing an online high school program. This has led me to have more free time. I recently worked in daycare. I worked in the infant room for months and then became the lead teacher for 2 year olds. I love teaching children and seeing them light us as they discover something new. The biggest key with children though is making them feel loved and secure. I currently sit for several families with various ages/needs and can provide references. Hello there! I have grown up working with children for most of my life, as my mom is a kindergarten teacher. It was her love of her students that gave me desire to become a teacher myself. I graduated college with my bachelor’s degree in Elementary education and specialization in Reading Instruction. I have been teaching kindergarten the past four years and truly think it is the best grade ever! I’m stepping out of my classroom this year to care for my newborn, so she would need to come along too, if that is something you’re comfortable with! I would love to work with your little one and get them confidently prepared for school or even help your school aged children with their homework or in home schooling!
