I want to be a sitter because I have 4 younger sisters, and autistic older brother and 2 other brothers. I love kids they’re my life and I love their imaginary world. I can deal with teens like any age because I have a 13 and 15 yr old sister. I’m great with autistic kids and any other kids with disabilities. I can work as early as you’d like me, and the latest I can work is 2/3 depending if I go into my other job at 3/4. I work at dunkin so I’m good at making food and coffee and can bring over donuts whenever you’d like. I don’t work on Thursdays and fridays so I’m free all day long other than when I have to take my boyfriend to work because we are sharing a car at this moment. I’m good at doing hair for girls, and helping kids regulate their emotions because I’ve done it with all of my sisters. Hi I’m Madeline, and I’ve worked with children ages 8 weeks & up, on and off since my high school years! I often would babysit during summer time throughout high school, and I worked in a church nursery during college to gain lots of experience. Things like communicating specific child needs/concerns with parents, providing comfort and emotional/physical care to children (i.e. soothing with songs or distracting with toys during distress), as well as observing play activities to identify positive behaviors and implementing behavior redirection when appropriate were all valuable learning experiences I gained during this time, on top of doing the basic tasks like changing diapers and providing snacks/meals. I am also CPR certified as of August 2023. I must say, working with children is one of the most fulfilling jobs I think a girl can have! Even after graduating college, I worked in a pediatric dental office for nearly two years and it was so much fun getting to still be surrounded by kiddos each day. That being said, I am currently in the middle of figuring out my career path and looking for something to fulfill me in the meantime!
