I am a retired psychologist and worked with children throughout my 30 years of counseling. While this did not entail "caring" for children, it did require being able to talk to and understand them at a very deep level. I have been professionally carring for children since 2017. Most of my experience with children has been to raise my own two who are now a paramedic and a public school teacher and I have been having my 3 grand children come visit with me on weekends from infancy to now. The eldest is 13 years old. I also was a girl scout leader for 10 years when the girls were 5 years old until they were 15. I took them camping on weekends and on two trips, one out of state and one out of the country. I spent one year as a first grade teacher for Dallas Independent School District. I am definitely a fun babysitter. I even bring my own board games if the kids are old enough. I am very responsible. I am healthy and active. I do not miss work and can get down on the floor to play with the kids. I treat children with kindness and respect. I like to cook, especially healthy foods. I am comfortable with animals.
