I have over 20 years experience in ChildCare and Early childhood development. I have been a full time nanny since 2015. Previous to being a nanny I worked in numerous child care settings. I have been a lead toddler teacher, infant teacher, twos teacher, pre-k and kinder prep. I offer babysitting services in the evenings and on weekends. Tuesday through Friday 6pm to whenever needed. I have eight years paid experience, including families with children ranging from newborn to nine years old. I have great child skills combined with ability to expose children to new cultural experiences. My most recent position is with a mom of two boys – a newborn and just under three years old. She is a professional analyst working from home, so I have to be conscious of her need for undisturbed work time throughout the day. This family would happily tell you that they considered me a part of their family, and the children still ask after “Miss Rahel” even though it has been several years since they moved from Dallas. In addition to those positions, I returned to Ethiopia in 2021 and 2022 to help my sister care for her two newborn children, a girl, and a boy. Love for my niece and nephew was so great that I put work here in the USA aside to ensure that they both got off to a good start with structure and loving care in their lives. In my culture, children are central to happy family life, and we practice love and positive reinforcement discipline when caring for them. I have such a high passion for kids which brings me motivation on finishing off college to be an elementary/middle school Science teacher! I need one more year to get my teaching certification. YAY!!
