Hey there, families! My name is Lyra, and I hail from the land of breakfast tacos and live music, Austin, Texas. I am currently a Neuroscience and Psychology student at the UT Austin, which means I know exactly how to get inside your kids' heads! Just kidding...or am I? When it comes to children, I bring a unique blend of experience, creativity, and love. I've worked with kids of all ages - from infants to teenagers, and even those with special needs. I've coached, tutored, mentored, and played with them all! My passion is engaging kids in imaginative and creative play, especially activities that challenge them both physically and mentally. I've got a background in theatre and acting, which means I can lead the kids in a game of "let's pretend," or even act out some of their favorite stories. And let's not forget my love for reading - I'm happy to help your little ones get lost in a good book, or even write their own stories! Now, let's get down to business. Safety is my top priority, and that's why I am Health Care Provider CPR & First Aid Certified. So, if the kiddos scrape their knees or bump their heads, I'll be ready to handle it with ease. Overall, I am thrilled to bring my skills, experience, and personality to your family. Let's work together to create a fun, safe, and engaging environment for your children. I look forward to meeting you!

Hello! Please note - I do not have availability for recurring daytime work. Only able to help with one-time/sporadic date nights and some weekend sitting. I have been continuously babysitting for 25+years! I started young - that's what happens when you grow up with 7 brothers. Busy households are nothing new to me. I am experienced with children ages newborn through teen-aged, have spent years working for the same families, and have been a live-in nanny. I have done overnights, extended stays, and traveled with families. I also student-taught and completed all requirements for an elementary teaching certification from Wellesley College, which enhances my perspective on children, their learning/emotional needs, and how to best care for them in a variety of settings. If you would like details on specific jobs or experiences, please don't hesitate to ask. I love providing great care and helping parents feel at ease when they leave their children with me.

Hello, I understand that finding a reliable babysitter can be a challenging task, and it's essential to choose someone who can take care of your child with love and compassion. I have been a babysitter for over two decades, and I have cared for children of all ages, from newborns to 12-year-olds. I have a deep understanding of how to organize children's activities, feed them, bathe them, and put them to bed, along with changing diapers and performing other necessary duties. In addition to babysitting, I have worked as an assistant and substitute full-time Pre-K teacher and a part-time religious education teacher. I have a clean criminal and driving record, and I am certified in Infant and Adult CPR and First Aid. I can also teach primary sign language, and I have received excellent feedback from both parents and children for my caring and compassionate nature. I understand that taking care of children is not just about feeding them and keeping them safe; it's also about providing them with a nurturing environment where they can learn, grow, and thrive. That's why I organize fun educational games, crafts, and outside activities for the children in my care. I can also run errands, grocery shopping, meal prep, and light household duties such as organizing closets, toy rooms, and basic accounting. I believe that children deserve to be treated with kindness, respect, and understanding, and I always strive to provide them with the care and attention they need. I have an Associates Degree in Business and Drama, and I am a certified professional in Education, Childhood Development, and Learning Differences. I enjoy walking, outside activities, music, and arts & crafts, and I am confident that I can provide your child with the care and attention they require. Thank you for considering me as your babysitter. I am available to interview and to answer any further questions you may have. I can provide additional references upon request. Warm Regards - Debbie

ABOUT ME I am 37 year old female and a graduate of St. Edward’s University. I moved back from NY 5 years ago. I am currently running my own mobile spray tanning and work in fitness in the afternoons/weekend mornings. I am looking for a new family to babysit for in the mornings a few days a week or babysit on call for date nights (Wednesday or Sunday evenings)! Please send me a message if this sounds like a good fit! I enjoy spending time outdoors, swimming, dancing, and playing the piano. In the past few years I have babysat for a family in West Austin. I have come to love this family and even spend time with the mother when we both have free time! Most of the experiences listed below are long term nanny jobs I have had. I have sat for about 3 different families while in college. EXPERIENCE 2008-2012 The Disorbo Family I met the Disorbo family when I moved to Austin for school. I have been sitting for them ever since. They have four kids. A 12 year old girl, an 8 year old boy, 10 year old boy, and 4 year old boy. They also have a dog I look after. The kids are wonderful! I play different games with the kids, encourage them to go on walks or we walk to different trails. I get them fed and to bed. I also help them with homework if there is a need. This has been one of my greatest babysitting experiences. The kids and parents are so sweet. My parents have even become friends with the Dirobo’s over the years. June ’03-August ‘06 Judge Ditta’s Family For the Ditta family, I babysat 3 girls on a very regular basis, before I left Houston for college. The children were 2, 4, and 6 years old whenever I first babysat them. I helped the kids understand their homework, took them to dance practice, prepared their meals, cleaned up around the house, and put them to bed. I had a blast playing games, house, dancing around, swimming, and doing arts and crafts with the girls. I usually babysat them on weekends until one or two in the morning. I don’t mind staying up late! May ‘02- August ‘06 Fernandez Family When I started babysitting for the Fernandez family their daughter was seven. Allergic to cats. Fine with dogs.

🦋 Howdy, y’all! My name is Liz and I’m a Senior at UT Austin studying Art History. Here’s a bit about me. I grew up babysitting and working as a summer camp counselor. In 2023, I began teaching art classes to elementary school children through Young Rembrandts. Last summer, I took on a new role as a preschool teacher. Since then, I’ve continued my teaching with the addition of babysitting on the side. Both jobs have been a total joy. I’m an engaged caretaker who can play for hours, but I always make sure to sneak in some educational content. It’s really important for me to get kids moving and learning. I love to sing, dance, play make believe, read, watch movies, cook, clean, and learn about the world around us. I make sure to keep an open line of communication with parents, as they know what’s best for their child’s health and well-being more than anyone else. I’ve been CPR and First Aid certified for a while, and I recently became certified in SIDS prevention and SBS prevention. I also have a Food Handler’s License! Safety is of utmost importance to me. Trusting your child’s safety with another person is something that I do not take lightly. If you’re looking for a reliable babysitter in the Austin area, I’m your gal! Please contact me with any questions you may have. 🦋

Hi my name is Davi, I grew up in rural Texas, but now find myself living in Austin. I’m the oldest of 3 so as I grew up, I helped my mom manage our household. I’ve been babysitting and taking care of children for almost as long. Starting the summer of my 6th grade year (2006) I stayed with 2 boys ages 8&6. Since then, I’ve babysat/nannied for many families with multiple children (and animals). The last family I nannied for had a newborn who I had most of the day and then I had her 3 brothers when they were out of school. I believe kids should not sit in front of screens all day, so I try to get them to use their imaginations as much as possible. I’m very hands on and am down for anything from play dough to baking (age appropriate of course). My mom taught Pre-K for 20+ years so I’m aware of things that kids need to do in development such as crawling before they walk, touching their toes with their opposite hand, and that they need to be able to do things at their pace, even if they make a mess, so they can learn.
