I have spent many years as a youth coach for jiu jitsu and mixed martial arts (MMA) which exposed me to working with children from the ages of 4-13 in both large group as well as one-on-one settings. I also grew up as the oldest out of my cousins and was often employed by my family as a babysitter which exposed me to caring for children from 6 month - 12 year-olds for hours at a time; often overnight. Thanks to an all-female gun club I've participated in, I have experience with responding to common and extreme emergency situations. I also have a modest amount of first aid training including CPR, proper use of tourniquets (minor and severe), the Heimlich maneuver as well as other choking response techniques, how to communicate with first responders and more.
