Hey! Im Danii, 33, and considered the ‘Auntie’ to every kid I’ve cared for. It being my nieces and nephews, friends children, or families who have hired me. I treat every child equally and don’t think of them as being ‘just a job’. I had my first miracle baby, being my 3rd pregnancy, July of 2021. My BellaMai Joy, her name comes from the French saying ‘bellé âme’ meaning ‘a beautiful soul’. I do/will do babysitting in my home, but will also have her with me if I need to travel. I just want to make it clear that her being with me will never interfere with any job I’m hired for, if anything we could all benefit from it. I mean, who doesn't love a play date?! My personal, family experience goes back 18 years to when my sister, who is also my best friend, got pregnant with twins. Identical twin girls. She was alone in Wisconsin at the time and I was finishing up my freshman year down here in Texas. She had them in May, and as soon as school got out I was on a plane, at 15 years old, to go help my sister with these 2 tiny little babies. Good thing growing up my favorite thing to do was play dolls.They all 3 moved down here by the end of summer (but not before I had to return to school🥺) So I have been by her side helping her with the girls for 18 years. I guess you could say I’ve always had the motherly nurturing qualities of a woman who has wanted nothing more than to be a mother herself. Fast forward 16 years, my sister gave me my 2nd nephew. (My first is only 13 months younger so more like a cousin) Turns out, 9 months later, to the day, was my due date for my daughter. She came a month early, so they’re 8 months apart. She is now about to give me my 3rd nephew, due in July, a week before my daughter turns 2. Beyond family experience, most of my friends became a mom far before I did. Some of them being teen moms, some not, but I have been an auntie to all of them. I have had families that have hired me, acquaintances who have recommended me, however it comes about, there’s nothing that brings me more joy than a smile on a child’s face. My daughter’s middle name is Joy because I knew that’s what she would bring me, just like every other child brings me; joy and happiness!
