I have taken care of children for as long as I can remember. As a teenager, I worked in a daycare center for 2 and 3 year old children for two years after school. During those two years I would leave after my lunch break from high school and go work as an aide for a kindergarten class my Junior year. Then as an aide in a second grade classroom my Senior year. I also watched children from my church as well as babysat for family and friends children. I went to college and got my associates degree. I planned on being an elementary school teacher then, but I got married and had a child. I decided to watch children in my home and then in a different daycare with the 3 year olds first and then in the baby room until my son started Kindergarten. I substituted for two years in his elementary school until we moved. During this entire time I would continue to babysit family and friends children. I changed careers for a while due to financial reasons. About ten years after that I really wanted to go back to working with children. I started part time for an after school program until I was promoted to front office secretary of the elementary school. I worked there for several years. I helped in the lunchroom and when teachers would need my help. I then left to teach 3-4 year olds in my church day school. I love children of all ages, and honestly they love me too. I moved to Utah from Texas about one year ago. Now I am wanting to babysit date nights and other times when I am needed. I really feel that when you have to be away from your children, that a mom is the best substitute for you.

I am back from college for the summer with my family. I am currently completing a degree in Special Education. I’m completing my senior year in the fall and have experience with ages 2 months to 18 years. I have had babysitting jobs, teacher assistant jobs, and classes involving taking care of young children and children with special needs. I have been CPR and first aid certified through my university and I am comfortable and confident in high stress situations. I am fine with pets and have my own car.

I have been babysitting all my life and was a professional nanny in Boston, MA for 3 years. I am infant and child CPR certified and have my own vehicle. I love interacting with children and making them feel loved and safe while having fun! I am also a volunteer leader at my church’s nursery. Which means, once a week I prepare a lesson and entertain 5-8 kids under the age of 2 for a couple hours while their parents attend Sunday School class. Arts and crafts, music, reading, being outside as much as possible and continually being active are a few of my passions. I’m also a big believer in eating healthy with as little sugar as possible.

I love being a sitter because I enjoy working with kids and being part of their growth, learning, and everyday routines. I find it really rewarding to create a safe, fun, and supportive environment where children feel comfortable and engaged. I have experience caring for children of different ages, including infants, toddlers, and school-aged kids. I have helped with babysitting for family friends, caring for younger family members, and assisting with children at DLI Elementary School, where I supported supervision and activities. I’m also comfortable helping with routines like meals, light housekeeping, school drop-offs, and keeping kids entertained with age-appropriate activities. My skills include being responsible, patient, and attentive. I’m active and enjoy sports and fitness, which helps me keep up with energetic kids and plan active play. I also enjoy photography, which reflects my attention to detail and creativity. I am a reliable caregiver and I’m willing to complete CPR certification if required.
