Mama Bear is a doctor, so I worked her atypical schedule (every other week from 2-8, some holidays, some over-nighters, etc.). My "duties" included light housekeeping, meal/snack prep, school drop off/pick up, karate lessons, gymnastic practices, dentist appointments, having LOTS of fun, and loving on the kiddos as if they were my own family. I have been told I am a big kid at heart so its easy for me to "GET DOWN IN IT" with them. In my spare time I enjoy crafting, reading, watching movies, being out in nature, and spending time with my family. I have been married to my hubby/best friend for 26 years. I always wanted a tribe of kids, but it just wasn't in our cards. My good Lord has blessed us with lots of nieces/nephews and 5 wonderful godchildren we have had the privilege of helping to raise. I have a reliable vehicle (SUV to keep your precious cargo as safe as possible) with excellent insurance coverage. As you can see, I have done the extensive background checks to help assure you I am a safe place for your family. I’m a senior about to graduate next month, I plan to attend college this fall! I love being a sitter because it’s such a great way to become responsible and help be a safe place for the child outside of their own family. It also helps me grow for the future when I’m a mom! I grew up with 5 siblings and I’ve always been an extra hand for my mother. My Mom owns a preschool and I assist her! I currently babysit for some of her students as well! We do lots of hands on crafts, reading, and playing. But what the preschool is known for is its love for nature! We play with animals, feed chickens, go on nature walks, play in the mud kitchen, and much more. It’s very calming for the child’s mental health, it’s great for observation skills, and makes learning more engaging!
