I have a Bachelors from UVU in Deaf Studies. After I graduated, I worked for two years as an interpreter for the Utah school for the Deaf and Blind (USDB) working with k-12 kids. I also tutored several elementary aged Deaf kids twice a week after school during the 2020 school year. When covid hit, USDB provided childcare for children of healthcare workers, and I got the opportunity to work with two nonverbal autistic teens. More recently, I have become a mom. I have a 4 year old and a 2 year old and have experience working with infants and toddlers. I was with the last family I worked with for 4 years. They had two children, one (6) and Deaf and the other (4) and autistic. I was able to competently juggle their two kids and mine. I value safety and carry a LifeVac (an FDA-registered medical device for choking emergencies) with me at all times. I have learned various techniques from participating in occupational, physical, and speech therapies and, while I can’t replace therapies, I can work with children who have special needs to meet their goals set with their medical team. I have worked closely with children with cerebral palsy, epilepsy, autism, Deafness, global delays, children with feeding difficulties that benefit from calorie packing, along with neurotypical children with ordinary needs. I’m a fun, energetic person who likes to get out of my house, and try everything. Whether hiking 10 miles up a canyon, or lying in a field listening to birds, I love to be outside. Some other things I love are music/playing instruments, fixing tech, and using my telescope (which I’ll happily let your kids look through if conditions allow). I have about 8 years of experience. Not all in nannying or babysitting, but also volunteering at children’s events for my library/museum/etc, teaching, supervising large groups at family/church/etc events, and more. One of my siblings is autistic, and I took peer tutoring in school. I have a lot of experience with kids of all abilities, mental and physical. Hello my name is Chloe McCain, and I am from Flagstaff Arizona! I will be moving up to Utah this fall and will be looking for a full time position. I just graduated for the second time from Eastern Arizona College with degrees in Elementary Education and Sociology. I am the oldest of 6 kids with 5 younger brothers aged 19-7! I have a lot of experience working with children as I nannied in high school as well as the past three years while I was attending college. I love caring for children of all ages. I have nannied children from 6 months-12 years old. In my free time I mainly enjoy spending time with my family playing board/card games and being outdoors. I enjoy reading, going to the movies, tending to my plants, baking, and cooking. Something I love to do in my free time is go for scenic drives and blast my favorite music. I’m a First Aid and CPR certified caregiver with a true passion for working with children. I’ve been babysitting since I was 13 and have 2.5 years of paid experience caring for a special needs adult. I already have some college experience and am currently on deferment after completing humanitarian work, but will be continuing my studies in January. I’m responsible, patient, and love creating a safe, fun, and supportive environment where kids can grow and thrive.

I am currently working as a CNA at a nursing home. When I was in high school I took child development classes and worked in the high school pre-k and that’s when I discovered my passion for working with kids. I will be starting nursing school next year and my dream is to be a pediatric nurse!

I'm the third oldest of seven kids, so caring for children has been a natural part of my life from the start! I’ve babysat for several families in my church, community, and among close friends, and I truly enjoy helping kids feel safe, happy, and engaged. I'm currently studying Family Life: Human Development at BYU, which has given me even more insight into child development and the importance of positive caregiving. I love playing with kids, doing crafts or games, helping with bedtime routines, and even pitching in with house chores when needed.
