Child care & how young minds form are one of my passions, where I lead with grace, compassion, and patience. I like to say I am not a person to demand them around but guide them along a path of exploration & adventure called life. I continuously teach the kiddos in my life how to regulate their emotions, use their words for expression, & validate their feelings. I am a very creative person & love to share that with the kiddos rather it’s physically making art, going on a scavenger hunt, telling them stories, or whatever is of their likings within creativity. I have much experience ages 2 mo-7 years & recently been gaining more experience with 8-15 year olds. My experience is all around coming from doing behavioral therapy with children along the spectrum, behavioral help within classroom settings, visits to parks & pools, in-home routine care (hygiene, meal prep, chores etc.), & giving swim/basketball lessons. I believe it is thoroughly important to hold space for the developing mind of children by boosting their interests & creating a safe space for them to make mistakes & learn from them. I am very experienced with children who are non-verbal & do not know asl yet. I am someone who likes go keep kiddos off of screens as much as possible yet am all down for a movie night & singing/reading books before nap/bedtime. I have a special understanding on techniques to connect with kids who are shy or nervous to have a new caregiver. I carry a warming & loving presence which helps kiddos feel safe in my presence. Hello! My name is Roxanne. I am a seasoned nanny/caregiver with over 20 years of experience. I have also worked with children/adults with disabilities for most of this time as I was a respite caregiver with California Respite Care and the San Bernardino Regional Center. I have extensive experience supervising infants to teens, and multiple children. I moved to Utah from California a year and a half ago and absolutely LOVE it here. I had to say goodbye to the family I worked with for the last 6 years (2 awesome little monkeys I adore). Mama Bear is a doctor, so I worked her atypical schedule (every other week from 2-8, some holidays, some over-nighters, etc.). My "duties" included light housekeeping, meal/snack prep, school drop off/pick up, karate lessons, gymnastic practices, dentist appointments, having LOTS of fun, and loving on the kiddos as if they were my own family. I have been told I am a big kid at heart so its easy for me to "GET DOWN IN IT" with them. In my spare time I enjoy crafting, reading, watching movies, being out in nature, and spending time with my family. I have been married to my hubby/best friend for 26 years. I always wanted a tribe of kids, but it just wasn't in our cards. My good Lord has blessed us with lots of nieces/nephews and 5 wonderful godchildren we have had the privilege of helping to raise. I have a reliable vehicle (SUV to keep your precious cargo as safe as possible) with excellent insurance coverage. As you can see, I have done the extensive background checks to help assure you I am a safe place for your family. In this crazy world I KNOW how scary it is to leave your little ones in the hands of a "stranger". I am completely confident upon our meeting, you will know they are in good hands.

I’m Mackenzie! I graduated Weber State University with a bachelors in elementary education and I’m almost finished with my Masters in special education. I love the learning process and have created dozens of sensory bins, art projects, games and adventures to explore with kiddos. I have about 7 years of experience between working in daycare, elementary schools, and I now work with children with disabilities and I absolutely love it! I’m recently back to Utah from living in Texas. While I was there in Texas I worked for 4 different families, all with variously different needs for care and routines. I’ve been babysitting for as long as I can remember. Around the age of 12 years old I remember watching some neighbors kids who I would make sure were fed and cleaned up and in bed. Then afterwards cleaning up the house once they were asleep. I enjoy seeing children’s face light up when learning something new and the pure imagination they have learning to understand this world. I’d love to have a family I can grow with and get to know well. I’m caring, great active listener, have worked with kids with special needs, I enjoy planning and sharing age appropriate activities, and overall really would just love to have some awesome kids to work with.
