I started babysitting when I was 10 and just kept going. I babysat all through college and even during my career as a teacher. I have worked with children in three ways: babysitting, tutoring, and being an elementary school teacher and media specialist. I even taught at the graduate school level which was very interesting and entertaining as the adults complained more about homework than my fifth graders! I enjoy children and I respect their idiosyncrasies and personalities. With this in mind, I have experience with children who are gifted and talented and as well as those who are on the autism spectrum. Not every babysitter has that experience nor is comfortable with children on the spectrum or gifted. I enjoy doing crafts and especially baking with the children I babysit. In addition to working to on-and-off babysitting jobs growing up, I worked the past 3 summers at a summer camp in Winchester called Summer At Sacred Heart, or SASH. From August 2024-May 2025 I served as a Catholic missionary in the US through an organization known as NET Ministries that evangelize to kids in middle and high schools around the country.
