Hello dear families! I've been an Au-pair for three wonderful families with kids in between 2 and 11 years old, pets always being a big and important part of the families as well. After my last au pair experience I worked as a FT Nanny for an amazing family and their 14 months old little lady, following a season working in a high school as a Distance Learning Assistant in the Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools district in NC. I have a diverse background and have used au-pairing and 'nannying' as a great tool to explore different places, and immerse myself deeper in the US culture. I'm a native Spanish speaker, originally from Venezuela and a Materials Engineer by profession. My whole path ended up taking me into working in different areas like tourism, winemaking, childcare, among others. I'm currently based in NOVA and do volunteer at a doggies and kitties shelter in the area. I have many years working with kids of all ages, especially little ones. I love working with families on child development and how we can work together so their little ones can learn as much about life as they can to make sure they learn to be self sufficient and still be able to love life.

My past experiences with childcare include the summer I was a sleep-away camp counselor in Michigan and taught children ages 8-16 how to sail, tie-dye, and shoot black and white photography! I also have had experience babysitting children aged 0-14 in many different settings. One summer I was a nanny to an adventurous 7 year old boy back home in Virginia. We would go hiking, swimming, to the library, and on play dates with his friends. Most recently I have babysat my cousins (girls ages 13 and 8) and have been taking care of them since they were born! I currently serve in Pre-K or nursery in my church every Sunday! I used to work at Walt Disney World for the last 5 years and am also a substitute teacher with Loudoun County Public Schools!

Hello I'm a mother of four two boys two girls. Our oldest son is away at college in Missouri. Our other three children are 16,14, and 13. I have all the experience of raising them and managing their schedules all while trying to provide fun and education experiences for them. My husband is a Navy Captain so there were many deployments and times at sea that I was the sole provider. I have also worked with children in other job capacities. I've been a substitute teacher for all grades but especially liked working with elementary school aged children. I did that for 3 years. I also worked for a company called junior gym on wheels where we go to preschools and teach them gymnastics skills when I was younger. I do have a full time job with the DOD but have a flexible schedule for the Friday evenings you're in need of. I'm looking for a part-time position like yours to supplement for our children's college education. We have set them up with GI bill and also 529 plans but they will still have to take out loans for some of their college which we would like to be as little as possible. That's what happens when you have four so close in age! I probably could not become a full time nanny but may serve as an interim for you while you are trying to find the right fit. I could provide Friday evenings and possibly a weekend as you mentioned. I am responsible,reliable, nurturing, background checked, college and business educated woman. We are active in our church and also volunteer at an assistant living home which has been a very rewarding experience.
