Although I have traded in my professional teaching and nanny career for an office environment several years ago, I worked as a nanny for approx. two years (7 months to 8 years old), opened an in-home daycare (18months-3yrs), and worked in daycare centers and pre-schools for many years after that. I also have been babysitting since I was about 13 years old and have actively served in my church's in the children's ministry and nursery. I currently lead a small team of ladies for nursery at current church. Due to working a full time job, I am currently only available for weeknight/weekend opportunities (date nights, etc).

Hi! My name is Abbie C. I’m currently in nursing school locally and just about done with my degree! I have babysit, house/dog sit for about 7 years now so I have plenty of experience. I have a love and passion for children, which is why I hope to work as a pediatric nurse once I'm done with college. If you're in the need for some time to get things done or simply enjoy some time out, I'm happy to help! Just give me a call or shoot me a text and hopefully we can work something out.

Abbie is awesome. She is an excellent date night sitter and was so helpful with my kids when I needed her to pick them up from daycare and help out until my husband and I were off work. She is super responsible and great with two kids (preschool aged and toddler). I feel so comfortable leaving the kids with her which is what we all want!

Reina is AMAZING. She is kind. She genuinely cared about our daughter, and our daughter loved her like a second mother--because she was like a second mother. Reina is also very smart and responsible. She read up on childcare, applied what she found, and was great about following any instructions we had. Reina was also incredibly patient, even in the face of toddler chaos and tantrums, which made me feel very safe having her in charge. We were lucky enough to have Reina come for hours several days per week for multiple years, so we worked with her a lot. I'm probably forgetting some other great qualities to mention. But given how intelligent and trustworthy she is, I know that I would highly recommend her for any position. She is a talented, caring, and careful person.

I have always enjoyed working with children. I started babysitting in junior high and by the time I was in high school I had an afternoon job at a local day care center. I went on to get my teaching degree in Elementary Education and taught five years of third grade and a year of kindergarten. After having three children of my own and taking some time off I went back to teaching but decided to try preschool instead and ended up teaching 8 years of it. After teaching elementary I was surprised at how much I loved working with the little ones. I was the lead teacher for a 3 and 4 year old class for 5 years and my last three years I taught a 5 day a week k-4 position. Over the last 10 years I’ve been doing part-time /full time Nanny jobs. I have worked for over 18 families and have taken care of over 41 children ranging from newborn to 12 years olds. I have enjoyed using my teaching skills and early childhood training to create a loving , nurturing, fun and safe environment for each child I take care of. I appreciate all the opportunities I have had to work with such wonderful parents and their amazing children.

Linda has worked for our family for the past year and a half, and we are sadly moving out of state. She has become a part of our family--caring for my 6 year old (with ADHD), 3 year old, 2 year old, and 7 month old. She was there the day we came home from the hospital with the baby, and has been flexible, reliable, trustworthy, and loving with all of the kids. She is creative, and teaches them preschool activities, does crafts, and even cleans while they nap. The kids talk about her as if she is family, and we have never felt comfortable leaving our kids (even all 4, including a newborn!) with anyone other than her. Highly, highly recommend her!

I am an experienced homeschooling mother of 5 children (4 of whom are now adults) and grandmother. I have been caring for children for over 30 years. Before bringing my own children into the world I was employed as a live-in nanny for 4 years. I was responsible for three children; ages ranging from newborn to 6 years. Attending to the eldest child, born with Downs Syndrome, exposed me to assisting a child with “special needs”. I operated a licensed daycare in our home for five years. I cared for two infants and four children ranging from ages 2 to 6 years. I offered preschool lessons for the children ranging from 3 to 5 years of age. Within the past 3 years I have had the opportunity to tutor foreign exchange students from Korea. I currently babysit for neighbors and a few other families on a part- time / as needed basis.

Deborah was our temporary Nanny for two weeks while our regular provider was on vacation. She was everything you would dream of in a babysitter and more. If I could I would give her ten stars. She always arrived early, the kids loved her immediately and it was very evident how fond she was of them. She took such careful care of them it just warmed my heart to see her with my kids. Plus, she always cleaned up and left things looking better than when she arrived. I feel like she has become part of our family even though we only see her for occasional babysitting now. She is a gem.

I have six years of experience caring for children of all ages, from newborns up; I am a mother of four, including twins! My first job was at a Head Start public school, where I worked for three years. After taking a year off at home, I worked at Tiny Tots, a daycare in Warrenton—I love caring for children! I left that job because I wanted to spend the holidays at home with my twins, and now I am looking for childcare work. I am a very good cook, I can handle cleaning, and so on; if you hire me, I guarantee you won't regret it.
