First off, I love kids! I have been babysitting for years now, probably since I was 14. I have babysat for countless families at my church, as well as working in the nursery on Sunday mornings. I taught the four year old class during Vacation Bible School at my church. I've gone on service trips and worked with kids in the inner cities, as well. I am currently a freshman at York College of Pennsylvania, and I miss babysitting! I worked almost as a nanny during my senior and junior year of high school. I have watched kids ranging from infants to 12 years old.

As a mom of 4 girls, I know how important it is to make sure that your child or children are in a safe and welcoming environment. I have been providing child care since I was an early adolescent girl starting off as a neighborhood and family babysitter. When I was 16 I started working at a licensed daycare center and throughout my adulthood I’ve worked at other ones as well. Outside of traditional babysitting and working at a daycare center, I also was a nanny my duties included facilitating homeschooling lessons, cooking/meal planning, cleaning, as well as taking the children on field trips to many local community settings. Academically, I have a bachelor’s degree in Community and Human Services and am in the process of obtaining a master’s degree from Liberty University, I did however take some time off due to me having a newborn baby. My most recent employment was at a public middle school in my former school as a paraprofessional and my duties were focused on working with students that had IEPs. I have had other experiences working with individuals that had an array of different abilities/limitations at a OPWDD agency. I was also a teacher assistant for a school specifically for students that were diagnosed with autism. Children should be able to feel supported and encouraged to learn in whatever way is best for them. My biggest worry when it comes to my own children is that when they are not with me, is their physical safety of course as well as mental security, that their thoughts and emotions are validated. And I’m mindful of that with it comes to other children as well. Each stage of the childhood phase is precious, from the moment a baby is first born and is desiring to be held and fed to the moment in which they are graduating high school and are going towards adulthood. We as parents who absolutely love our children and want the very best for them know that it’s a “matter of fact” when it comes to who we allow our children to be around. One fact is there is no other decision that we will make in this time of their lives that will be more important than who we trust with them. One vital component is that person needs to be patient and understanding, through my many years of both personal and professional experiences, I’ve learned to be that. Another one is being able to promote a secure and fun environment, and that is what your children will have with me!

Hi! I have been babysitting since I was very young and have always loved taking care of kids! I am also a Certified Nursing Assistant, so I have also taken care of older individuals.
