Hi there! My name is Sydney and I work full-time in human resources but love sitting when I can! I studied Sociology and Economics at the University of Vermont and I have passions for arts & crafts, spending time outdoors, and have recently taken up baking. Care taking in many forms has always been a part of my life. I began as a mother's helper at the age of 11, transitioning to solo babysitting at 13, then later taking part in my high school program teaching in a connected preschool. I have experience working as a camp counselor, pet sitter for a company down in CT, and in college I worked as an academic and social support mentor here in VT. I spent 2020-2024 working in the health and wellness industry which has cultivated another passion of mine. Through my educational and professional opportunities, I have learned the importance and benefits to always operating professionally and by the book, no matter if I am working my 9-5 or baking chocolate chip muffins with some kiddos. I prioritize safety, boundaries, communication, and of course, having fun!

I'm a college senior studying human development and family science, as well as psychology. I have 8 years of experience in babysitting and childcare for ages 13 years and under, including experience working with children with special needs ages 4-13. I have worked and volunteered in a variety of environments, including in homes, classrooms, summer camps, and a barn that provided equine therapy. Currently, on weekdays, I'm working part time as an aide for children with disabilities at a summer camp, but I finish up there around 12:15 p.m. Mon, Tues, and Friday, and I'm off work by 1:15 p.m. Wed-Thurs, so l'm available weekay afternoons and evenings, as well as anytime on weekends. I would love to meet you and help look after your kiddos. I also have pet care experience and would be happy to help with any pets you may have. Please feel free to reach out anytime and I'll get back to you ASAP!

We had a wonderful experience with Ashton as a babysitter for our toddler! She was excellent at communicating before and during the job, arrived right on time, and immediately made us feel comfortable leaving our son with her. He had so much fun and was excited to tell us about his time with her afterward. Our child is potty trained but still needs some assistance, and she handled everything well. At the end of the evening, she gave us a thoughtful summary of everything they did, which we really appreciated. It was reassuring to know how his time went and showed how attentive she was throughout the visit. We would absolutely recommend her and would be happy to have her babysit for our family again!

My name is David, and I'm 18 years old, currently studying to become an elementary school teacher. I'm passionate about working with children and eager to gain more hands-on experience. For the past two years, I've worked part-time in the daycare at my local church, caring for infants and toddlers. I also have classroom experience with 8-9-year-olds, I have spent two summers as a camp counselor for 9-10-year-olds, and have been babysitting since I was 16. I'm confident in my ability to communicate effectively with parents and create a fun, engaging environment for kids through different activities, both indoor and outdoor, games, and story time. I have a Care.com profile where I have passed my background check and have a couple of reviews.

I am a Registered Behavior Technician with a Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, bringing both clinical expertise and genuine warmth to my work with children. Over the past 5 years, I have worked with children on the autism spectrum across schools, homes, and clinical settings, giving me a well-rounded understanding of how to support kids in diverse environments and adapt to each child’s unique needs. In addition to my professional background, I have extensive experience nannying and babysitting, which has strengthened my ability to build genuine, trusting relationships with children of all ages and personalities. What sets me apart is my ability to connect with any child, regardless of their needs or temperament. I make it a priority to ensure every child feels valued, understood, and truly special during our time together. I take the time to learn each child’s individual interests and use that knowledge to create engaging, fun activities that also support their development and goals. Beyond childcare, I’m happy to help with pets and light housekeeping duties, making me a flexible, all-around support for busy families.
