I have worked in the church nursery, in more than one church. I have worked with kids most of my life. When I was younger I was a mother's helper. I worked at Word of Life Ranch Camp in Pottersville, New York. That was a Christian summer camp. This year I am going to be a mentor for Windsor County Partners.

I love both babysitting and pet sitting. In my free time I love exploring the outdoors by hiking, skiing, swimming, and sailing. I went to a Waldorf school for eight years, which instilled an artistic side in me. I also love board games and baking as well as crafts and would love to find activities that the kids are interested in too.

My experience as a nanny extends into looking after children of all ages. I am both infant and pediatric CPR certified. I've worked in a variety of childcare settings including the NICU, pediatrics, early education and sports programs. I have nannied for 4 other families, 2 of them consisted of multiple children. I also was a respite caregiver for DCF and cared for foster children, where I also dealt with challenging cases that involved behavioral problems. I am a certified nurse assistant, EMT & nutritionist to which I have very much enjoyed my work in those fields. I have been in the medical field since the age of 16 and began expanding my experience through working in a various of healthcare and childcare settings. Finding a strong passion for the pediatric population was something that came clear to me. I took every opportunity to get involved and increase my interactions with children and their families. Through my time spent working in a pediatric doctors office as well as a pediatric intensive care unit. It was especially important to me to have the experience in caring for each age group. Other jobs I’ve had included after school care programs, summer camps, babysitting, nannying, tutoring, nutrition counseling & educating parents on the importance of stages of growth & development . One thing that you can rely on is my ability to be flexible, reliable & willing to learn about every child's individual needs & how I can help them to thrive. I hold myself to always maintain a high level of professionalism and abide by parents wishes. I aim to follow the routine & any specific instructions given, so that we may work as a team. I recognize the importance of consistency & following through on actions or words to encourage healthy discipline, but at the same time listen to what the child needs in the moment. As an addition to the childcare needs, I have acquired the skills of multi tasking while always putting the child’s safety first. Thieve additional tasks I provide include household chores, such as cleaning, laundry & providing meal prep. I believe children need balance, structure, nurture and guidance in order for healthy physical, mental & cognitive growth to occur. Hi, I'm Grace! I just transferred to Eckerd College this past January 2023, and I am currently a sophomore. I am from NH and looking for a part time job to help me pay for school, and I absolutely love working with kids. I have off and on babysat for family friends, which has over the years led me to work with 3-8 year olds as different families children have grown older. This past summer I also worked as a counselor at the Meriden Community Camp, where I was responsible for the group with 4th graders to 6th graders, and occasionally helped with the other groups (1st graders to 3rd graders). I love to have fun with the kids, but I am also not afraid to keep them out of trouble. I was last first aid and CPR trained in June 2022, and I have a car on campus, so transportation will not be a problem for me. I can't wait to meet you!
