I received my certification as an early childhood education specialist in the States of Iowa and Kansas. I was also a licensed home daycare provider in Kansas. I would like to find a family with a young child/ren in need of a loving, nurturing nanny. I enjoy creating supportive learning environments for children wherever we may be, whether that is in a chair with a book, on the floor with toys, in the kitchen, garden, at the library or parks. I am a low screen-time provider, but value their limited use. I am fine with meal preparation and light house keeping which come with child care. In my role as nanny, I give support and relief to parents by providing exceptional care for your child/ren so you can focus on work. Hi there! I am Abby (she/her). This June, I will be graduating from Washington State University Vancouver with my Master’s in Teaching. I graduated from the University of Washington in June 2024. I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Education, Communities, and Organizations with Disability Studies and American Indian Studies minors. I have found success in building relationships with these children through discussing triggers, what the child enjoys, and boundaries with parents before we start working together. I am also passionate about working with children with disabilities in the school setting. I am currently a substitute, often filling in as a paraprofessional. From September 2023 to May 2024 I held an internship as a substitute paraprofessional in the Seattle Public School system, regularly working at Concord International Elementary School. Nothing makes me happier than reading, doing crafts, playing games/puzzles and being outside! My number one focus is keeping the children happy but most importantly safe.
