Hello! I have been babysitting and nannying children of various ages for 11 years, and as an oldest child, I have been helping my parents care for my sisters for years. I have have earned a Doctorate in Physical Therapy, and I am very passionate about caring for people to help improve their physical, mental, and emotional health. I am bilingual in English and Spanish. I have Basic Life Support certification (this includes training in CPR, AED, and the Heimlich maneuver). I work M-Th as a physical therapist, and I am looking to babysit/nanny on the weekends to add some fun to my week! In my free time, I love to cook and go for walks with my fiancé. I would love to have the opportunity to get to know you and your family.

I love working with children, and this is reflected by my work history. I have spent sunmers working at two different summer camps and managed groups of 15-30 elementary-aged children (ages 5-11) at a time. I have also worked in three different classes as a student teacher, working with 2nd, 3rd, and 6th grade students. I am currently a student at Northeastern University, in Boston, MA, studying Psychology and Data Science. From my experience, I have learned that it is of the upmost importance that children have access to supportive, understanding adults, and I know that my education and experience has prepared me to be that for your children.

Hi there! My name is Margie and I've just moved to Bellingham. I have over eight years of childcare experience and excited to have more! For six years I was the lead counselor on a community farm in Portland, OR, for ages 5 to 12. We would play games in the garden, put on puppet shows, learn about wildlife, all while staying safe and healthy during the COVID-19 pandemic. I also enjoyed being a teacher for cooking classes where we'd cook yummy, kid-friendly meals with ingredients the kids harvested. I recently worked with the Corvallis Environmental Center and local elementary schools with farm and ecology based curriculum. If you couldn't tell, I am very passionate about our planet and love teaching little ones the importance of care and kindness for it. On top of that, I'm known to be bubbly, patient, observant, and understand the craziness kids can bring to our lives. I am Red Cross First Aid/CPR certified, have a car, and am great at cooking and keeping spaces tidy. I love taking children on nature walks, craft making, and telling stories. I have the most experience with kids ages 5 to 13, but have plenty of babysitting experience with ages 6 months- 4 year olds. Excited to help out your family! -Margie

We had Margie babysit for us during a trip to Portland, she came to our hotel while we went out for the evening and took great care of our baby. We got home and the baby was soundly sleeping and Margie had followed everything we asked her to do to a T. Communication was clear and easy, she was on time, and was very easygoing yet experienced. Margie was great to work with and we would definitely hire her again!

Hi! My name is Kathryn (I go by Ryn) and I'm currently seeking employment in childcare. I'm CPR + First Aid certified and have experience with children of all ages, particularly toddlers and elementary school age children. I am offering child care and household services. I am not currently in any kind of schooling, but I do have my GED. I love being a babysitter and have been watching infants, toddlers, and kids since I was 12 years old. I have also taken care of pets, so I can do that if needed. My responsibilities while babysitting have included playing, arts and crafts, cooking and cleaning, and helping the children fall asleep I am also open to run errands if needed.

I have been working with children for close to three years. When I first started I was with infants and then I worked my way through different ages, learning the unique care of each group. Working with familes and children to reach a common goal has taught me so many things and brought so much joy into everyday life. Every child is unique and getting to support their learning style and see them thrive is one of the best parts of what I do. I have a certificate of proficiency in ECE and for infants and toddlers from WCC and I’m planning to work towards my AA in Early childhood education!

Hello! My name is Lauren, I am 20, and I’m currently in school to become a pediatric dental hygienist. I also work part time as an in-home caregiver for elderly people. I have a lot of experience taking care of people, young and old, and really love it! I have many years of experience taking care of kids ranging in ages from 9 months to 10 years. I have experience with diaper changing, potty training, meal preparation, feeding, bed time, organizing games and activities, and many more useful skills that I feel very confident in! I am extremely organized, reliable, attentive, and fun! Through high school I also worked as a before/after school child care provider. This gave me great experience juggling multiple tasks at once while also ensuring the safety of the kids. I really enjoy being a babysitter because it provides parents with some time to take care of themselves while making sure the kiddos are safe and having fun. I have been trained in First aid/CPR/AED for infants, children, and adults.

Why do you love being a sitter? I really enjoy working with kids because every day is different and fun. It’s rewarding to build trust with both the kids and their parents. As I want to be a teacher in my future What experience do you have? I’ve babysat for family and friends (caring for children of different ages.) I’m used to handling things like meals, bedtime routines, playtime, and helping with homework. What skills and training do you have? I’m responsible, patient, and good at communicating with both kids and parents. I can keep kids entertained with activities while also making sure they follow routines. I also understand basic safety and how to handle emergencies. I can cook simple meals and I have a driver’s license.
