Crafts, forts, and afternoons outside were part of our daily rhythm, and I drove the school and activity run too. I'm especially good with babies and toddlers, but I genuinely enjoy every age. I keep the day structured because kids do better when they know what's coming, and I'd rather stay a step ahead of a transition than manage the meltdown after. I'm patient with big feelings, calm when things get loud, and I'm very active and outdoorsy — so getting kids outside, moving, and exploring comes naturally. Often enough kids need quiet time or a little personal space and I'm happy to help around the house when that occurs.
