I am a practicing pediatric occupational therapist and am offering highly skilled and experienced special needs/medically fragile babysitting and respite care. I've been working with children and adults with special needs for 20 years and have been an occupational therapist for 6 years. My experiences include working with children with autism who have high support needs, children with developmental delay, or children with medical complexity. I am comfortable with a g-tube and other medical equipment, but do not have vent experience (but would be happy to be trained!) While I am not offering occupational therapy intervention while babysitting or providing respite, my background gives me extensive experience in caring for children with any kind of special needs. I also love babysitting for children with no special needs! I have been working with kid for many, years, and always bring plenty of screen-free ideas to any childcare situation. My style of childcare includes lots of interactions, games, and fun memories for your child(ren) while you're away. It's been a few years since I babysat, but I am looking for a side hustle to make some extra cash (gotta pay those student loans!) and also provide babysitting/respite to families who might struggle to find adequate care for their child with special needs. I'm happy to watch their siblings, too! I also worked in summer camps for 10 years and love hanging out with kids of all ages. I am available for overnight care, too.

Hi! My name is Jennifer but most people call me Jen. I’m currently going to school online for my bachelors of elementary education which I have roughly a year left of. I have worked in many daycare/childcare centers as well as an elementary school. I helped my sister raise my two wonderful nieces for roughly 5 years. I have worked with infants as young as 6 weeks old up to 10 year olds. I have worked with as little as one child to roughly 28 children at a time. I have my food handlers card and my first aid & CPR card for adults, children, and infants. I’m happy to answer any and all questions you may have for me!

I'm a dedicated first responder near Portland, Oregon. I currently serve as a full-time Law Enforcement Officer and volunteer Firefighter/EMR, while pursuing my bachelor's degree at Chemeketa College. I'm certified in Adult/Child/Infant CPR, AED, EMR, and BLS and have a valid food handlers card. In addition to my public safety background, I also provide household cleaning and organization services. Whether it's maintaining a tidy home, assisting with laundry, disinfecting surfaces, or helping with daily household tasks, I take pride in creating a clean, comfortable environment for families. I do not smoke or use any substances. I'm reliable, punctual, and always arrive 5-10 minutes early to ensure clear communication, directions, and an easy transition for your family.
