Hi, Long story short- in 2011, I graduate from UW with a business/IT degree and in 2013, I received my MBA at WWU. But, I decided not to go the corporate route just yet. At the time, being 23 with an MBA- I really didn't have much free-time to myself as I was only focused on my education and potential business career. So, I decided to look into what my passions were (and they still are)- children, family and travel. Therefore, for the past 5 years- I have been mainly babysitting and nannying to help fund for my world travels. During those years, I've helped well over three dozen families- caring for over 60+ children of all ages. I have enjoyed and loved every moment of it. I've learned a great deal from each family and each child. I also have over 8 years of childcare experience prior to those 4 ½ years- primarily in daycare settings. I've found many families that I will always keep in touch with- some of which I still help out whenever needed. It's been a blessing to see all the children grow up. So, when I first started traveling- I would go for 4 to 6 months at a time. I've been all over Southeast Asia, Central & South America, Europe and Lebanon. But as I'm getting older and have my heart invested in families- I've slowed down on my travels because to be honest, kids are more important. :) I now mainly do short-trips (mostly when families are on vacation/ there's a large gap in my schedule). And I'm starting to have an interest in small trips around the US. Unfortunately, the family that I’ve been with for over 6 years no longer need my help as the boys are old enough to take care of themselves. I love working and supervising children because they are our future in our lives. I left my previous child care job of 5 years to finish college. I would even play with a few of the children who were new to the school and who had a hard time socializing with others their own age. I am First Aid and CPR Certified by the American Red Cross. I have experience with housekeeping/cooking and I am willing to add that to part of my sitter job. I am located in the Bella Bottega area of Redmond and am looking for a full-time (40 hrs/week) long-term nanny/babysitter position with one family preferably in that same area or in Woodinville, Bellevue, Sammamish, Kirkland, Kenmore, or Kingsgate. I am willing to commute as far as Seattle/Bothel as well. My rates are $28/hr for one child, $30/hr for two children, or $34+/hr for 3+ children. I have just under two years of experience as a before/after school care teacher (ages 5-11yrs) and support teacher (ages 18mos-5yrs) at a private school in Kirkland (I am currently employed here but am looking to go back to nannying), and 5 years of nannying experience with ages ranging from newborn infants to 4-year-olds, including neurodivergent children (I myself am also neurodivergent). I am food safety and CPR certified, have 50 hours of completed hours in STARS training, have a credit in children's literature, am proficient in emotion coaching and am currently in the process of obtaining my diver's license, but am also incredibly familiar with the public transit system. Hello. I Am a retired senior who has been taking care of babies & children as a nanny for the last 5 years since moving here from the east coast. I have no certificates or degrees in childcare but just a lifetime of experience coming from a large family & helping raise my 2 grandsons & being around kids my whole life.
