Hello, I graduated from the University of California Santa Cruz. Following my studies at UCSC, I returned to Mira Costa community college to complete my 12 Early Childhood Education credits. I come from a family of four girls, 2 older sisters and one younger sister. Throughout high school, I volunteered at the local library reading program. I volunteered at bible school where I was responsible for supervising groups of 4-5 preschool aged kids. I also worked as a babysitter for family friends and neighbors throughout high school, with experiences babysitting up to four kids at once. When I turned 16, I started working at the city pool and taught swim lessons there for five years for kids ranging from 3 to 15 years old. In college, I interned for a Kindergarten classroom at a school for children with autism and gained one-to-one instructional experience. I worked as a paraprofessional in MA for 3 years in a Pre-k classroom for children with autism. I received my Master’s degree in Special Education from UW in August 2019. I currently work full time with children with autism ages 2-18 I am certified by the American Red Cross in Adult CPR/AED, Infant CPR, & First Aid. I am only accepting date night or one time positions as I am employed with a full time job. PLEASE NOTE: I am happy to work with children with disabilities. However, if your child has a disability I expect full disclosure BEFORE watching your child (for any developmental, social/emotional, or behavioral special needs). This is for my safety and the safety of your child.

We were visiting Boston from Toronto, Canada, and were worried about leaving our daughter (who is 3) with someone we didn't know. Alexandra was fantastic - punctual, lovely, and very responsible. She asked a number of questions about things I hadn't thought to tell her - allergies, etc. I highly recommend her!

Hello Everyone, My name is Karen. I just completed my 11th year of teaching Special Education teacher for the NYC Board of Education. The last 4 of the 12 years I taught Art specifically 🎨. I worked primarily with students diagnosed with Autism but have experience babysitting/tutoring/nanny-ing children of all ages and abilities ranging from 1 to 16 years of age. I've taken a little pause on teaching this year to explore some exciting creative endeavors, as well as go on a fun adventure to the West Coast! However, I would still love the opportunity to work with children in some capacity 😊 I would describe myself as a very loving person, honest, kind, I am a huge animal, passionate about loving our planet, and above all a big kid who likes to be goofy and fun. Please reach out with any questions you may have! Hope to speak with you soon. Warmly, Karen

Karen watched my 1-year-old a few times. My daughter absolutely loved her. She took great care of her and would send me updates throughout the day while I was at work. Karen is very sweet and caring. She communicates very well and is always on time. Unfortunately, my schedule changed, and we no longer have her, but I would absolutely recommend her Karen was wonderful!

Hi! I am 25 years old and I have been a certified babysitter for 13 years, a camp counselor for 7 summers for ages 4-13, and a nanny/household manager for 3.5 years. I have experience working with challenging kids and kids with special needs (Down's Syndrome, ADHD, autism, anxiety, ODD). I am a registered behavior technician with 1 year of experience doing trauma-informed applied behavioral therapy. I have a psychology degree from UC Davis and took child development courses, which, along with my extensive hands-on childcare experience, has greatly informed my parenting philosophies. I practice authoritative (not authoritarian), gentle, positive, and attachment parenting. I encourage autonomy, independence, confidence, emotional expression and regulation. I love playing indoor and outdoor games, helping with homework, cooking and doing arts and crafts with kids. I also love animals and am willing to do light child-related housework. I can send my formal resumé upon request. Please feel free to message me if you think we’d be a good fit! ***Potty trained kids only***

Brian provided outstanding care for our infant daughter while also helping keep our household running smoothly. He was attentive, patient, and nurturing, ensuring our daughter was safe, engaged, and meeting developmental milestones through tummy time, basic motor skill activities and early reading. In addition to his childcare responsibilities, Brian assisted with household tasks such as tidying common areas, managing children's laundry, washing bottles, and helping maintain an organized home environment. His reliability, strong work ethic, and genuine care for our family made him an invaluable part of our household. We highly recommend him to any family seeking a trustworthy and capable caregiver.

I have 10 years of babysitter and nanny experience working with kids. I am patient, interact well with children and am also dedicated to the well upbringing and safety of children. Personally I've raised two girls of my own and is currently an empty nester. Now that I'm no longer a full time mom, I'm taking on some part time jobs assisting other busy parents. I'm also comfortable being around pets. My family moved to WA 23 years ago and I turned a full time mom out of choice. During those years I had the joy of caring for my kids and volunteered as a teacher helper when my younger child started elementary school, helping other children in school with reading and art projects. I taught elementary Singapore Mathematics and substituted for challenged students English classes on Saturdays with Northwest Chinese School when my daughters were attending Chinese lessons there for 3-4 years. Also privately tutored some Taiwanese kids and assisted non-fluent English speakers in the library ESL classes over the years. I believe with proper nurturing and providing children with early learning opportunity can enhance positive child development. I highly value quality education. I am good at reading books to kids and enjoy singing children's songs and rhymes with them. I am great at telling time-tested and children-proved stories. I am good at teaching and making art and craft projects. Also able to handle making healthy kids meals and cleaning after kids with ease. Since the past years to date I have been working part time and occasionally for families with kids ranging from 0 months to 12 years old. I have experience with baby and toddler care. I am currently available for date nights and weekends babysitting. Any other details beyond, I'll be glad to divulge during an interview. Thank you for your consideration.

May is a kind, caring, and wonderful baby sitter. She is detail ordinated and kept us apprised of her actions and care throughout the time she watched our 1 year old daughter. My wife was very impressed on her ability to put our daughter at ease. We highly recommend May.

I am currently working in a daycare with children between 1-4 years old. I have also had the opportunity to develop myself in different aspects and areas. I have had the opportunity to work as a teacher's assistant in summer workshops at Weberbauer School. In this organization, I was responsible for supporting perceptual and motor learning in pre-kindergarten children. I was involved in the preparation of exhibitions, dances and plays for the children, as well as in the elaboration of didactic and formative material. Also, I volunteered for some months in the organization TECHO PERU, a nonprofit organization responsible for bringing aid to the neediest people, within my work I was part of the team of volunteers in the schools of remote communities where we support children in their homework, teach them to write, to read and provide children's shows as recreation with games and dances. These experiences gave me enormous gratitude and today, being a professional with vast experience and comprehensive training. I am also certified in first aid and CPR, in case of any emergency, a course which helped me learn more about the care of children and adults.

She has the kindest, calmest demeanor — our 5 month old baby took to her instantly. She blended seamlessly into our routine, showed up right on time, asked the right questions, and kept communication clear and easy throughout. We felt completely at ease leaving our little one in such capable hands, and the baby was happy and content when we returned. A true gem! Highly recommend.

I’m a dependable, patient, and easygoing dad to a 1-year-old girl and a 5-year-old boy, so I understand firsthand how important trust, safety, and consistency are when it comes to childcare. I’m comfortable helping with day-to-day routines like meals, playtime, homework help, bedtime routines, and keeping things tidy while making sure kids stay engaged and cared for. I’m especially good at staying calm under pressure, communicating clearly, and adapting to different personalities and family routines. I know every child is different, and I try to create an environment where kids feel comfortable, supported, and safe. I’m also comfortable around pets, helping with light household tasks if needed, and handling higher-energy kids with patience and structure. My goal is to be someone families can genuinely rely on and feel good about having around their home.
