My name is Erica Herdt, I am 31 with one child who is 6. I moved here three years ago from Illinois. Back in Illinois I was a teacher at 16 for being an assistant and than going forward different schools I was a teacher assistant. My last school hoping I could stay in Illinois but it was too expensive I ran the baby room with 11 kids and at one point I had 8 at once age from 3 months to one year. After the baby room I got transferred to take over the three year old room that had special needs/help potty train. When I moved to Wisconsin teaching wasn’t paying well so I decided to become a manager at Arby’s and now i decided to go back into child care/babysitting.

I absolutely love babysitting! There's something truly special about spending time with children and being a positive influence in their lives. Seeing their vibrant smiles and hearing their contagious laughter brings me so much joy. I genuinely enjoy engaging with them, whether it's playing games, reading stories, or simply having conversations about their day. It's incredibly rewarding to help them learn and grow, witnessing their milestones and being a part of their journey. The ability to connect and bond with these little ones is a privilege I cherish. The trust that their parents place in me to care for their children is something I take to heart, and it motivates me to always provide the utmost love, care, and attention. Babysitting has become more than just a job for me; it has become a true passion that fills me with happiness and fulfillment.

I absolutely LOVE working with children!!! I used to work at a daycare full-time, and I worked for a wonderful family last year for almost 6 months watching there 2 boys 3 days a week minimum until they moved to a different city. Otherwise, I would still be working for them, because the family really liked me and still does, and the boys both loved me, especially the 3 year old, seeing as he still talks about me almost a year later. I have a letter of recommendation, in which, the wife wrote for me. I have experience working with infants, as well as potty training. The mom of the two boys would speak well of me potty training her oldest son, seeing as the other boy was almost a year old when my time with them ended. Therefore, he was still in diapers when I left, but she would love it if I were able to be there to potty train him too, when he is old enough. I would love to be a part of your family, if it's a good fit for all of us, because I want your family to have the proper caretaker working with your child/children that best fits their needs, seeing as that is what I would be there for. I also enjoy cooking and cleaning, and cleaning up before I leave is a non-negotiable, because I like my work area to be clean, as well as neat and tidy, especially when the job is complete for the day. I want you to come home to a clean environment as well.

I have 8 years of experience caring for children, along with pet sitting for families I’ve worked with. I love spending time with kids, helping them learn, grow, and of course have fun along the way. Families I’ve worked with know me as kind, dependable, and someone who makes kids feel safe and happy. I’m open to both short-term and long-term positions, and I’m flexible in finding what works best for your family. This winter I’ll be starting community college to study phlebotomy, but in the meantime I’m excited to keep doing what I love—caring for kids and supporting families.
