Hello! My name is Savannah and I am currently a student at Grand Canyon Univeristy in Phoenix, Arizona. I currently have a 3.8 GPA and am going to school for early childhood education. I grew up with a blended family and I have 7 siblings. I have always loved coordinating events and babysitting my siblings and cousins. I have a reliable car and will be able to transport to and from events if needed! I am CPR certified and have lots of experience with children. I am from Waukesha, Wisconsin and will be living in Arizona full time starting August 1st, 2026. However, I will be heading back home for breaks November 26th- 29th and December 17th- January 3rd. As of August 1st, 2026, I am available all days of the week except for Tuesdays from 7:00am - 2:00pm. I begin student teaching full time January 4th, 2027, and will no longer be available on weekdays. I am looking for a part or full time position from August 1st- December 13th near Phoenix, Arizona. I have years of experience working with children outside of friends and family. Summer of 2023 I worked as a disabled child care taker. Some of my responsibilities were changing, assisting with the bathroom, and helping with motor skills. Summer 2024, I was a part-time nanny for a 6 year old boy. On a typical day, I transported him from summer academy back home and then we did lots of fun crafts and activities throughout the day. During my sophomore year at GCU (2024-2025), I worked with an infant part time. My roles and responsibilities consisted of diaper changes, bottle feedings, transitioning to solids, naps, supporting development milestones, attending doctors meetings, and age appropriate activities/outings until the child was of age to attend a daycare. This year (2026) I watched a toddler under the age of 2 part-time. Unfortunately this family is moving away and I am looking for another position. I am a student and working through my graduating semester of Spring 2024-2025 at Waukesha County Technical College and I have been working at Kids’ Connection Childcare Center in Mukwonago for 2 ½ years as an Assistant and Floating teacher and worked in all the room with children the ages of 6 weeks to 6 years old. I chose the field of early childhood education and also I chose to become a youth minister or a Christianity-based nanny because I love all ages of children ever since I could remember because I love watching them grow and learn new things and one of my favorite things about children is all the simple things can excite them especially like blowing bubbles or seeing snowfall on the ground but in my case what I would love most about being with children is strengthening their faith and Jesus Christ Our Savior because I am going to school to be a youth minister or a christian-based nanny, somewhere along those lines. I am combining my two passions in life, Jesus and children. I am already getting a lot of practice and experience because I am teaching Bible class to my nieces and nephew and really teaching them the good news of the Gospel. I love children of all ages and my love started back in 2014 when I became an aunt for the first time when I was 8 years old to my first niece and it was blossoming ever since, nearly 11 years later and six children later. I don't know, there's something about doing anything with little kids that make everything loads and loads more fun. And the things that I most hope to learn in this class is to understand every child's unique behavior that is influenced by their personality, family, culture, religion, environment, social interactions and relationships, experiences, emotions, skills, and how they are being brought up by their parents and using all that information to properly guide them to be kind, happy, brave, confident, humble, compassionate, honest, patient, advocating human beings and help them to learn to conquer whatever comes at them in their life in a safe, healthy, and beneficial way to themselves and others around them. And also to truthfully spread the Gospel, to strengthen everyone’s faith in God when hope is fading, to revive anxious unsettled hearts and not deceive, to positively encourage and lead people to devote their lives to Christ respectfully and not forcefully.
