Hello! My name is Savannah and I am currently a student at Grand Canyon Univeristy in Phoenix, Arizona. I currently have a 3.8 GPA and am going to school for early education. I grew up with a blended family and I have 7 siblings. I have always loved coordinating events and babysitting my siblings. I have a car and will be able to transport to and from events if needed! I am CPR certified and have lots of experience with children. I am from Waukesha, Wisconsin and am planning on living in Arizona full time. However, I will be heading back home for breaks November 22nd- December 3rd and December 13th- January 5th. Summer of 2023 I worked as a disabled child care taker. Some of my responsibilities were changing, assisting with the bathroom, and helping with motor skills. This past summer was a part-time nanny for a 6 year old boy. On a typical day, I transported him from summer academy back home and then we did lots of fun crafts and activities throughout the day. I am looking for another part-time position that works with my school schedule. For the Fall semester I only have in person classes on Tuesday and Thursday from 7 am- 11 am, which makes my schedule very flexible. I am comfortable working with all ages!

I am a retired homemaker who has immense knowledge as well as many years of experience as it pertains to running, managing and maintaining a home in ways that help it run harmoniously. Ideally Home needs to be a place of solace and comfort, it needs to be a place where family members feel respected, recognized and valued which in my humble opinion seamlessly comes together when a house becomes a "Home". Obviously there a many ways to do this however it has been my experience that one of the best ways to acomplish this is simply by creating a routine that matches the pulse of the household in ways to ensure each member feels valued.

I currently attend the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee studying Early Childhood Education receiving my certificate in General Education, Special Education and English Language Learners. I currently work at the Children’s Learning Center primarily in a toddler classroom, but have experience in infant, preschool and kindergarten classrooms. I have also had numerous opportunities to work with different ages through school placements. I love kids of all ages! I do currently have my Primary Caregiver certification for toddlers. I love to cook and clean, but also love to go outside when it’s nice out. I am typically available on weekends, unless out of town because I work during the day and am a student.

Although I never was a registered babysitter, I have babysat and taken care of three or four children at a time within my family. I was a nanny for my sister Leah and her three children when I was 14 for a whole summer in between academic school years, for example. I did work at a daycare - Little Dumplings Early Learning Center- for the summer and I absolutely enjoyed every second. I worked with ages 6 months-3 years primarily and I love that age because I see so much personality development and growth at those ages. It is an extremely rewarding job knowing I help not only the kids with every day activities, but that I also help the parents. I know life can get very hectic and not working isn’t an option. I think that taking care of children is a great gift to people like me who want to work with children when they get older. It is great practice as I always learn many new things, and again as I said before, it is incredibly rewarding watching and helping little children grow into toddlerhood then preschool age and so on. Flexibility makes life run smoothly. I will come to your home and play indoors with your child. We will play with their toys, games, puzzles, blow bubbles, color and crafts, pretend, talk, read, listen to music, put on talent shows, etc. After I get to know your child, we can possibly bake & make other messy crafts. It depends on the child. - Excuse me a moment while I talk to the type A parents out there. Schedule a sitter and if they have to cancel or don't show, contact me. You'll want to have your bases covered, right? - Please take that first step and either send me a message, leave me a voice mail, send a text or send me an email. We should talk through the details. I'll want to be sure you're within my small service radius. The second step will be texting me 2 hrs (or less) before you'd like to get together and meet. An in-person meeting is required before I can watch the kids. Doing the meeting at the last minute shows that we have an understanding of the last minute arrangement that would be used when contacting me for care. Then we'd be all set for last minute care.
