I love being a sitter because it offers the opportunity to build meaningful connections. I still reach out to the sitters I had when I was a child and catch up every so often. It allows me to be a role model for a child and help children develop meaningful skills and life lessons that are needed for proper development. In addition, I get to make an impact on children which leads to those valuable life skills. Lastly, it helps expand my mind in terms of creativity, new activities, and helps me learn things that I would want to do for my future children. My experience consists of providing care for two children, ages two and four for a summer (June-August) in 2023. I took the kids to various lessons, provided meals, helped potty train, created a nurturing environment, and do various activities that help build motor skills as well as different skills needed for future development. My skills include providing a nurturing and positive environment, communication, emotional regulation, time management, empathy, and having a flexible schedule. In addition, I took childcare development in college where I gained knowledge about proper care for a child's development and took biomedical science in high school which allows me to know what to do in an environment that is high intensity in the rare case a child were to get hurt. Lastly, I took a CPR class in high school where I as certified but it expired after two years.

Hello! I am interested in seeing if I would be a good fit for your family’s childcare needs. Here is a little info on myself...I just finished nannying for a family part-time in my home for their now 3 year old daughter, 3 days a week. I began caring for her when she was just 5 months old. She has just started preschool so I no longer care for her on a regular basis. I have also been providing childcare in our home for our friend's 2 daughters since they each were newborns and now are ages 10 and 13. They currently are both in school during the school year and I continue to care for them in the summer and on school days off. They are precious blessings to us! I began in home care after completing a 5 year commitment (2006-2011) as a nanny for a professional couple in LaCrosse for their 2 sons, then a newborn and 6 year old, whom are still dear friends to us. I love children and have had several years of opportunity in caring for them! I find it both hard work and yet very rewarding to be able to be a part of their lives! I have enjoyed the time I've been able to spend with the children and they have become like family to us, always being included in everyday activities in our Onalaska home. We live just south of OT near the McDonald's and KT area and have lived at this location for 19 years. As you can see, I have provided care both in our home, and the home of others. My preference is to provide care in our home, but I am open to coming to yours as well. As a caregiver, I really love to care for kids and see them grow. I discovered my knack for providing a safe and fun environment for children when I first started babysitting. When communicating with parents, I adapt to their preferred method, ensuring they are well-informed about their child's day and any matters that arise. My approach to household rules is guided by the parents' lead, as I believe consistency is essential for a child's well-being. I currently attend The University of Wisconsin La-crosse for Clinical Laboratory Science. My schedule will change depending on the semester, so this will have to be something to consider. When it comes to activities with kids I enjoy a range of activities; I particularly love engaging them in outdoor activities, board games, and educational games that stimulate their young minds.

HI my name is Cindy. I am a mother with 5 grown children with their own families and a grandmother 0f 15 and 1 great granddaughter with one due in Sept. I taught a Head Start for 8 years and the next 14 years in a church setting. We also had 32 foster children in 12 years. I coached both boys and girls basketball, soccer, and baseball along with running the wrestling club in West Salem. Needless to say I adore children! Pets are right up there also. My husband will be going on his 46th year as a conductor for the BNSF Railroad so he is gone alot. Even though I'm a grandmother I have lots of energy and like spending my free time with other families and their children. I am CPR certified for both adults and children and have my Early Childhood degree. I am opened to watching children for an hour, date night, overnight or for the weekend; I have taken a family for a week while the parents went on vacation. I can also sub for a nanny or babysitter who is ill or just can't make it. I'm very flexible, honest, and reliable.
