I have passed the CPS and FBI background checks. I had to do those because my Mother and I are raising my sisters four children. I really enjoy seeing children learn/master something, seeing something through their eyes. The scariest thing that has ever happened to me happened while I was in charge of a three yr old, she choked!! I was able to do the Heimlich maneuver and she was ok. I believe this shows I'm good under pressure. Hello! My name is Savannah and I am currently a student at Grand Canyon Univeristy in Phoenix, Arizona. I currently have a 3.8 GPA and am going to school for early childhood education. I grew up with a blended family and I have 7 siblings. I have always loved coordinating events and babysitting my siblings and cousins. I have a reliable car and will be able to transport to and from events if needed! I am CPR certified and have lots of experience with children. I am from Waukesha, Wisconsin and will be living in Arizona full time starting August 1st, 2026. However, I will be heading back home for breaks November 26th- 29th and December 17th- January 3rd. As of August 1st, 2026, I am available all days of the week except for Tuesdays from 7:00am - 2:00pm. I begin student teaching full time January 4th, 2027, and will no longer be available on weekdays. I am looking for a part or full time position from August 1st- December 13th near Phoenix, Arizona. I have years of experience working with children outside of friends and family. Summer of 2023 I worked as a disabled child care taker. Some of my responsibilities were changing, assisting with the bathroom, and helping with motor skills. Summer 2024, I was a part-time nanny for a 6 year old boy. On a typical day, I transported him from summer academy back home and then we did lots of fun crafts and activities throughout the day. During my sophomore year at GCU (2024-2025), I worked with an infant part time. My roles and responsibilities consisted of diaper changes, bottle feedings, transitioning to solids, naps, supporting development milestones, attending doctors meetings, and age appropriate activities/outings until the child was of age to attend a daycare. This year (2026) I watched a toddler under the age of 2 part-time. Unfortunately this family is moving away and I am looking for another position. Although I never was a registered babysitter, I have babysat and taken care of three or four children at a time within my family. I was a nanny for my sister Leah and her three children when I was 14 for a whole summer in between academic school years, for example. I did work at a daycare - Little Dumplings Early Learning Center- for the summer and I absolutely enjoyed every second. I worked with ages 6 months-3 years primarily and I love that age because I see so much personality development and growth at those ages. It is an extremely rewarding job knowing I help not only the kids with every day activities, but that I also help the parents. I know life can get very hectic and not working isn’t an option. I think that taking care of children is a great gift to people like me who want to work with children when they get older. It is great practice as I always learn many new things, and again as I said before, it is incredibly rewarding watching and helping little children grow into toddlerhood then preschool age and so on. I currently attend the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee studying Early Childhood Education receiving my certificate in General Education, Special Education and English Language Learners. I currently work at the Children’s Learning Center primarily in a toddler classroom, but have experience in infant, preschool and kindergarten classrooms.
