I am 42 yrs old, I grew up with a younger brother and sister so I babysat a lot. I have babysat my whole life for friends, family, through Care.com and was with a Nanny agency. I really enjoy seeing children learn/master something, seeing something through their eyes am NOT a sitter who just sits on the couch. The scariest thing that has ever happened to me happened while I was in charge of a three yr old, she choked!! I was able to do the Heimlich maneuver and she was ok. I believe this shows I'm good under pressure. Although I never was a registered babysitter, I have babysat and taken care of three or four children at a time within my family. I was a nanny for my sister Leah and her three children when I was 14 for a whole summer in between academic school years, for example. I did work at a daycare - Little Dumplings Early Learning Center- for the summer and I absolutely enjoyed every second. I worked with ages 6 months-3 years primarily and I love that age because I see so much personality development and growth at those ages. It is an extremely rewarding job knowing I help not only the kids with every day activities, but that I also help the parents. I know life can get very hectic and not working isn’t an option. I think that taking care of children is a great gift to people like me who want to work with children when they get older. It is great practice as I always learn many new things, and again as I said before, it is incredibly rewarding watching and helping little children grow into toddlerhood then preschool age and so on. I am CPR and choking certified.

I love working with kids because I get to help them learn and grow in the world. It is so rewarding to see the kids I work with develop into independent little individuals. I've worked at two childcare centers - A local one in Wauwatosa with mostly infants-twos as a float teacher & a KinderCare in South Elgin as a pre-Kindergarten teacher. You're free to run errands, have lunch with a friend, schedule that interview, show that house, meet a client, take that extra shift. Wow! Now that's convenient. Don't be a slave to a schedule. Flexibility makes life run smoothly. I will come to your home and play indoors with your child. We will play with their toys, games, puzzles, blow bubbles, color and crafts, pretend, talk, read, listen to music, put on talent shows, etc. After I get to know your child, we can possibly bake & make other messy crafts. It depends on the child. - Excuse me a moment while I talk to the type A parents out there. Schedule a sitter and if they have to cancel or don't show, contact me. You'll want to have your bases covered, right? - Please take that first step and either send me a message, leave me a voice mail, send a text or send me an email. We should talk through the details. I'll want to be sure you're within my small service radius. The second step will be texting me 2 hrs (or less) before you'd like to get together and meet. An in-person meeting is required before I can watch the kids. Doing the meeting at the last minute shows that we have an understanding of the last minute arrangement that would be used when contacting me for care. Then we'd be all set for last minute care.
