Hi, my name is Lucia. I love Jesus and have been blessed to be a mother of two children of my own. I am looking for a nannying position that would allow me to care for another child as I also care for my one and a half year old son. I am currently employed at a daycare, but am in search of a more intentional position. Nannying would allow me to focus more on teaching and encouraging children intentionally rather than having multiple kids to care for at once and just getting by in a childcare facility. I have qualifying experience in working with children of many ages. I began nannying as a teenager, and my first position was caring for two twin infants through their toddler years. Learning to care for twins has taught me plenty in multitasking and caring for more than one child at a time in a home setting. I also worked in an elementary school as an educational assistant for some years. I worked with children from first grade through fifth grade. I also managed and lead the after school program. One of my favorite parts about working with kids is seeing how creative they are. I also love being able to help them learn and grow, whether it's problem-solving with Legos or assisting them with homework. Working with kids, no matter the age, is very rewarding, and being able to be part of that is very special. Previously, I have been a gymnastics coach, coaching virtually all ages, and have assisted in creating summer camps with a variety of activities. The past three years during the summer, I have babysat 7:30-4:30 for a family, four days a week.
