My name is Aly and I’m looking for to a part time job (1-2 days a week). I’m currently a pediatric nurse but decreasing my hours at the hospital. I am CPR certified and also hold my CNA and RN licenses. I worked as a CNA for 6 years and have just recently became a RN in May 2022. Considering that, I am comfortable with medically complex children and providing care for them. I have babysat my neighbors for 5 years and babysit my little cousin (twin 8-year-olds and 4-year-old) on occasion since they were born as well as nannying in college. I have experience and am comfortable with all ages. Along with experience with a wide range of ages, I also have experience with those with special needs through Best Buddies and volunteering for 3 years with a program at the YMCA for children and adults with special needs. I am 42 yrs old, I grew up with a younger brother and sister so I babysat a lot. I have babysat my whole life for friends, family, through Care.com and was with a Nanny agency. I really enjoy seeing children learn/master something, seeing something through their eyes am NOT a sitter who just sits on the couch. The scariest thing that has ever happened to me happened while I was in charge of a three yr old, she choked!! I was able to do the Heimlich maneuver and she was ok. We will play with their toys, games, puzzles, blow bubbles, color and crafts, pretend, talk, read, listen to music, put on talent shows, etc. After I get to know your child, we can possibly bake & make other messy crafts. I'll want to be sure you're within my small service radius. The second step will be texting me 2 hrs (or less) before you'd like to get together and meet. An in-person meeting is required before I can watch the kids. Doing the meeting at the last minute shows that we have an understanding of the last minute arrangement that would be used when contacting me for care. Then we'd be all set for last minute care.
