I love spending time and getting to know the kids that I meet I find that they can be amazing conversationalists and very imaginative as well, that’s something I admire. They are all different from in their own ways but that just makes everything even more fun. Throughout high school I have done a lot of babysitting and dog-sitting. I was once a camp counselor at two different camps and I am aspiring to be an elementary school teacher, and hope to be one by next spring. I am very organizing and love to plan ahead. I am really creative and enjoy making and sharing many different art projects with others.

Hello! My name is Ava and I have a huge passion for children's mental health and development. I have been babysitting for the past ten years, and have many different work experiences with youth such as being a: daycare teacher (ages 0-10), youth development program coordinator (ages 6-18), summer camp counselor (ages 6-17), and just graduated with my Master's of Clinical Social Work and awaiting licensure in August! Over the past year, I was a school based therapist in Minnesota. I will be providing therapy to teens and adolescents once I receive my license here! I have experience with newborns to late teens, as well as children with physical and mental disabilities. My certifications include CPR/First Aid, SIDS, Shaken Baby Syndrome, mandated reporting, trauma informed care, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and more. Additionally, I am WI state-certified to work with Infants and toddlers, as well as have both assisted teacher and lead teacher daycare certifications. Education-wise, I have my bachelor's in Mental Health Psychology, background in child development, and now a Masters in Clinical Social Work! Hello, My name is Finn! Being a good role model for children is extremely important to me, especially with how prevalent the internet has been. I strive to be someone who can consistently do activities and be engaged with the kids I’m with instead of sitting them in front of a screen. I’m a very creative person, so I’m always ready to do arts and crafts with a kid, and maybe try to teach them how to make some new things on their own. I’m the eldest of 4, with all sisters, so I’ve been through the ringer with taking care of them all—even two of them as babies! I loved in a single-parent household, so there were many times where I had to step up and be the one to take care of them for the night. Before I graduated, I used to be a Math tutor for other high school students. I’ve held classes for web-coding as well, and while I know your child won’t be doing that, there’s hundreds of other topics that I would be happy to teach. I’ve worked with various types of kids before, and have a good amount of experience with Autistic kids. I am very aware of the sensory and communication issues they may have, and can maturely handle meltdowns as well. Most of my babysitting experience is with family and through volunteering for some events, but I would love to show that I’m able to do more work in the field.

I grew up in a big family and have 19 nieces and nephews, so caring for kids has always been a big part of my life. I currently work as an in-home caregiver and a child mentor, with training in behavioral therapy, child trauma, emotional development, and mentorship. As a child mentor, I help kids build confidence, work through emotional challenges, and learn healthy coping and communication skills.
