Hi, my name is Kira Smith, and I am a recent high school graduate who is extremely passionate about helping children learn, grow, and thrive. I have over six years of childcare experience working with children from newborns to age 12, with most of my experience being with infants and toddlers ages 0–6. My childcare journey began when I was around 12 years old, helping care for my younger siblings. I regularly changed diapers, prepared meals, fed them, cleaned up after them, and helped with their daily routines. My responsibilities included preparing breakfast and lunch, reading books, changing diapers, assisting with potty training, and even attending gymnastics classes with the toddler. My time with this family was filled with fun, laughter, learning, and love, and it remains one of my favorite childcare experiences and i truly miss it everyday! I am skilled in cleaning, cooking, meal preparation, diaper changes, dressing children, sleep routines, and potty-training support. I’m currently a Freshman at WVU studying criminology and political science in hopes to become a criminal lawyer. Growing up I have always been the one my family goes to when they need somebody in my family to be watched, which is why I started babysitting. I love kids, so I knew that this job would fit me well.
