My mother is Martha, she is 88 and very independent. I can appreciate her willingness to be independent but I am concerned about times, she may need someone when I am not nearby or if I am at work. I am wanting to get her a feeling from her about this care but I am uncertain to what to expect or what "care giver" even means.

It would be great to help mom with cooking, (she is a little picky but I think she doesn't want to cook for self anymore) helping with mom with any errands or any driving to short distances. My mom has a park she loves to walk in and spends time working in her home.
