Looking For A Dependable Home Helper/Companion For My Senior Parents In Shoreline
Searching for a companion/home assistant. Must be comfortable around a big dog (super friendly and old) and with someone who has dementia.
Flexible on days/times. My dad has dementia (he is still pretty with it, but mixes up words and is forgetful) and my mom is stressed keeping up with the house and his new life. I would love someone to engage with my dad, joke around, sit outside on nice days, bring a little life back into his world. He’s getting depressed and doesn’t do much. Ideally while hanging out you could pick up the bathroom & kitchen and help with the laundry. No need to help in the bedrooms. Maybe be around if my mom runs to the grocery store or does something for herself.
Hoping for 6-8hrs a week, ideally in the late morning or early afternoon, but flexible.
CPR, background check, general first aid, pay negotiable but they are on a tight income.
Care Recipient
- Male
- Somewhat receptive to outside help
- Age range: 65 to 74 years old
