Seeking reliable, conscientious caregivers for my father. He is paralyzed on his left side, has a feeding tube and a catheter. He requires diapering and total care. Familiarity with using a Hoyer lift or Sara lift to transfer him or a willingness to learn is a plus. He needs assistance with physical, speech, swallowing and breathing exercises, and doing a few simple cognition activities or games. Light housekeeping and keeping track of supplies are needed. Simple meal preparation is needed for his wife. Current needs are Wed. and Thurs. 8:30 am to 5 pm and Fri. through Sun. 8:30 am to 8:30 pm. Fill-in and holiday positions available as well. Prefer female non-smoker and willingness to accept payment through the VA. Salary commensurate with experience.
