Genesis M. Care Companion in Gadsden, AL 35903

My name is Genesis i love helping the elderly and have been working with the elderly for over 6 years. I started when my great grandmother who was 91 started needing assistance fixing meals, bathing, and just sitting and being a companion. From then I went with a company for 4 years where I was a caregiver which I was a sitter and I also did light housekeeping. After that job I also worked with another in home living assistance company where I help with baths,meals, and light housekeeping. Shortly someone asked me if I could help with their wife who has Alzheimers and need bath, changing through out the day, and to be fed and make sure she have her medicine. Now I still work with her and is a CNA at a nursing home and rehab facility where i take vital signs, feed and serve meals, bathe, and dress resident. I observe resident condition and behavior, do body audits, assit with some medical procedures, answer calls for help, empty bedpans,
Lift patients into beds, wheelchairs, etc. Examine patients for bruises, blood in urine or other injuries/wounds, clean and sanitize patient areas, and change room linen and more. I am trying to go to school in the fall for nursing and relocating form Gadsden, AL to the Birmingham, AL area.
