I'm a retired elementary school teacher and recently moved here from San Diego county in California. An educator position requires livescan for fingerprint background checks. And for the past eight years, I have been the primary care giver to my mother who is now 89 years old. I cooked, cleaned, laundered, provided transportation and administered medications including insulin to her.

I was mother to a severely handicapped child (who passed away in 1994); I am generally familiar with administering medications including shots, giving breathing treatments and doing chest PT (physical therapy).

Because I was a teacher and a former Oral Surgery Assistant, I've had to take CPR & first aid training. I have not had any recent training but took CPR on many occasions, so I am familiar with checking airways, breathing and currently compression only rates.

My last job was with the San Diego Sheriff's Department where I was a Detentions Information Assistant. The job required working in a locked security and directly with helping the general public, attorneys, law enforcement and other professional entities. This job required being able to multi-task quickly and accurately while operating opening/closing the ingress and egress doors to the jail, processing bonds and cash bails, answering phone calls and scheduling professional and social visits. I was privy to highly confidental information and had to pass a very difficult vetting process to be hired for this position. Only about three percent of applicants can fully pass the Sheriff's Department Background Check. I am a very ethical person who can be trusted with caring for seniors, extremely empathetic and friendly. I also just love to help.

Because I am retired, I am only looking for a small part-time position, optimally working a few hours a day for just a couple of days per week (no weekends).
