Kelly’s Bio

I have a combined total of 20+ years experience in senior and childcare. Having three boys of my own that have cousins and other family very close in age, I always had kids other than my own either spending the night or babysitting them for friends or relatives. I also volunteered K-3rd grade for all three of my boys as they started school. It was after my 3rd son started grade school that I got into senior care. I was offered a position caring for a clients 93 yr old sister whom I ended up becoming very close to and caring for her 3 years until she passed. I spent the next 4 years caring for another member of the same family. I am knowledgeable of the different stages of dysphagia and how to prepare meals in accordance to each stage and required consistency. I enjoy the senior crowd and their wisdom. I do have a food handler certification obtained while a cook at a nursing home. I've cared for seniors with alzheimers/dementia, wheelchair bound due to stroke as well as deaf and legally blind.
