Kirsten’s Bio
I was a Direct Support professional for almost 3 years. I work at a group home for individuals who had Developmental Disabilities and physical disabilities.
I am known for my hard work, being on time, and faithfulness to the people I serve.
I took college courses back in Illinois to become a DSP. Direct Support Professional. That includes care of individuals, daily living skills, food prep, and more.
My training with Children started with my mother being a stay at home mom. She would baby sit to help make ends meet and I would help with the children, I was 7ish then. At 14, after moving to Illinois, I started volunteering at a horse ridding therapy place called Central Illinois Riding Therapy. AKA, CIRT. I volunteered there once a week or more for 6 years, meanwhile taking on baby sitting jobs for neighbors and fellow church members, with also the occasional house to clean.
In December, 2011, I started working at TCRC, Tazwell County Resource Center. I worked with individuals who had DD *Developmental Disabilities* and Physical Disabilities. I worked there almost 3 years before I married an Arkansan and moved to Siloam Springs in July, 2014.
I would encourage you to ask for character references and contact them if you wanted, and/or ask me any question that you may have. I am eager to prove myself and am excited about the possibilities of being able to work with people again.
We do not have any children yet though we do have one on the way. We would like to find a family who would be willing to allow the baby to come with. The duties to the family I will be serving will not be lessened in anyway, we just wanted you to know that we are expecting.
