I have personally done companion care with my grandparents, as well as other elderly couples. I’ve also done companion care for younger children, as well as young adults. I enjoy their company, I would help them with their household needs, I would go over to keep them company, I would play board games, cards, we would watch TV, I would either help them cook if they were capable of cooking and didn’t want me to do it all, or I would make the meals. I would help them get up if needed. I have helped some in the restroom, when they needed it. I just overall genuinely enjoy their company, hopefully as much as they enjoy mine
