Currently my experience is with the child and youth population, but I’ve always wanted to work with the older adult population and believe it’ll be an easy, natural transition for me. I am a 49 year old married mom of five. Our children range from 13 to 24, Aor why need Mom micromanaging everything anymore, lol. I have a B.A. degree in Child and Adolescent Development. I was a foster parent for 13 1/2 years until retiring from foster care in April 2020. Our three middle children are adopted from fostering. I have experience working in the Child and Youth Care field for about 30 years. Our family has five small rescue dogs and I’m a total animal lover. I’ve been wanting to transition into doing some work with older adults for some time. I’m aware that many seniors e are lonely and isolated and it breaks my heart. I’m currently a stay at home Mom and love the idea of being a companion and helper for someone. I’m fully vaccinated and our family is very careful everywhere we go, wearing masks, staying outdoors and/or keeping our distance.
