Let me start off with an introduction. My name is Debra and I enjoy taking care of people. I’m upbeat, flexible, always with a smile, helping hand, and a comforting word.
I have been a care companion part-time for 2.5 years, providing care for my parents, one who has been unable to walk for 2 years. I have experience with setting up a daily/weekly schedule for medication/vitamins and providing medication; scheduling refills for medication; preparing snacks/meals; assisting physical therapist with exercise schedule; assistance with wheelchair from/to bed, chair and couch; taking people for walks; helping with mail and email responses; laying out clothing; playing games or cards; setting up TV for viewing; helping with laundry; taking people to store/grocery store and enjoying a conversation; and light housekeeping.
I want to devote my time to helping people. If there is something I can do to make it easier, you will have a much more fulfilling life.
In my spare time I volunteer taking care of therapy horses for veterans and enjoy being around animals.
I’m looking forward to meeting you. I’m vaccinated and boosted. I’m available weekends in the early afternoons and evenings. During the week I have most evenings available.
