I live in a 55+ community and enjoy interacting with Senior Adults. Playing cards, exercising in the pool and taking walks. I understand the importance of helping Senior Adults and providing respite care for family members that need a break after going through the various stages of Alzheimer disease with my step father. Attending the Alzheimer support group in San Fernando Valley gave me valuable tools and understanding how an Alzheimer patient feels and their needs in a safe environment. But most importantly, how the caregiver needs moral support and assistance as well.
