I have always been a caregiver to my pets, but one day my dog Rhea received a spinal injury from another dog who broke off its leash; she was only 8 months old. Instead of ending her life as many do, we decided to choose the exorbitant vet bill and allow her to enjoy her young puppy life. Now a paraplegic, we invested in a wheelchair and diapers and provided her with a happy, fulfilled life with regular trips to dog beach. My dedication to giving others care is just as strong as the day I determined to take care of Rhea in a wheelchair and has only grown since then.
